ALFICan Partners
It is important to recognize the valuable role played by our project partners in making a serious commitment of both time and resources to test the eight principles of best practice in the Canadian context. The project was indeed “blessed” by having fifteen partners representing a diverse cross-section of institutions and community-based organizations from across Canada willing to engage in an intensive, self-reflective evaluation of their services to adult learners. The support of senior administrators in these organizations enabled them to undertake the self-analysis and was crucial to its success. We also owe a debt of gratitude to the ALFICan Team Leaders and the members of their implementation teams. These individuals are genuine, “champions of change”, who perform daily functions in the delivery of a range of services to adult learners in a variety of settings and circumstances in both urban and rural parts of Canada. The diligence with which our partners took up the self-evaluation task, their dogged commitment to seeing it through and attention to detail was both impressive and awe-inspiring.
We would like to thank the one hundred and fifteen faculty, staff and administrators of all of our ALFICan project partner institutions and organizations.
